The FloodStopper water leak detection system is generally installed with 18 gauge wire (18/2). This is the same wire typically used to install thermostats and doorbells, and other low voltage electronic equipment (24v). The wiring can easily be concealed through crawlspaces, vents, attics, or voids in your walls, just like any other electrical wiring. For your convenience, we offer a 250 foot roll of 18/2 wire at a very economical price to assist you with your FloodStopper installation.
